The Jackson Street church of Christ began as a church plant in the town of Willard, MO. Early in 2009, the leaders of Union Hill (Nixa), Brookline and Sunset (Springfield) met together to pray and plan the Willard church plant. Each of the congregations planned to contribute and on March 22, 2010, papers were signed to purchase property as home to the new Jackson Street congregation.
The Sunset church hired Joe Brumfield to be the minister of the new congregation, and Joe and his family moved to Willard in 2010.

The church assembled for the first time September 18, 2011 in the Willard Rec Center gym. For several months, the congregation met in the Willard Community Center building on Jackson Street.
In 2012, the congregation moved to a storefront location in the heart of Willard. A few years later, the antique mall next door closed, and the congregation was able to double the size of the auditorium and classroom areas, as well as adding a multi-purpose area and commercial kitchen.
Joe Brumfield and his family worked with the congregation until August, 2016.
In the fall of 2018, Scott Jacques began serving as the minister.
We plan to build a new building on our property in the near future. The future of the Jackson Street church of Christ is bright, and we are looking forward to all that God has planned for us.
